Work at McCormicks Solicitors in Harrogate has continued apace throughout the pandemic, with clients and staff both adapting to new ways of working, but now as other businesses begin to get back on their feet, the practice is recruiting to assist with its increasing workload.

Its highly-regarded Commercial Litigation team led by Partner Philip Edmondson is looking for a newly-qualified solicitor, following the recent promotion of Will Bates to Senior Associate. The successful applicant will have completed at least one litigation-based seat during their Training Contract. Experience in the areas of professional negligence, breach of contract, property litigation, intellectual property, defamation and insolvency law is desirable but not essential.

The new team member will gain exposure to a huge range of contentious issues and will be asked to assist on matters at various stages. This will range from pre-action, through Court and arbitration proceedings of various types, settlement negotiation and costs.  There will be the opportunity to work with a unique range of clients, including household names, sports clubs, sports professional and regulators, insurance funds, small and medium sized businesses and individuals with personal or business disputes.
