Job Retention Scheme Update

A number of questions relating to the scheme have been dealt with. There is up to date guidance covering the scheme from ACAS and HMRC which is helpful. Here are some further developments of interest :

• ACAS have designed their own furlough agreement which can be found on their website. Many employers have already implemented their own. The important thing is that your scheme is evidenced in writing.
• HMRC have said that the online portal will open on 20 April with the first reimbursements paid on 30 April.
• The Treasury has confirmed that employees who were transferred (under the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations) to a new employer after 28 February will be eligible for furlough.
